Our Story:
After starting residency in 2017, Dr. Nita Chen has been singularly focused on providing care to the neurologic community. Her special interest in Parkinson’s Disease led her to complete training specifically for movement disorders at the University of Florida from 2021-2023. During her training, Dr. Chen was able to envision a practice that addressed patient care issues in unique ways no one had conceived before. it is with this vision that she joined Newport Concierge Physicians as a full partner to create Newport Neurology Associates, a medical practice which serves as a treatment center for Movement Disorders. Our doors officially opened in January of 2024.
Since 2024, Dr. Chen has engaged the community to unify efforts in improving quality of life for patients with Parkinson’s Disease. Born from her focus to improve Parkinson’s care, she developed “Moving Together,” a talk series designed to provide education and support to families and patients navigating life with Parkinson’s Disease. It now serves as a powerful forum for patients and families to discuss difficult topics openly with highly qualified experts in the field of Parkinson’s Disease management.
Newport Neurology Associates continues to grow with the addition of much needed resources and services in an increasingly complex and confusing healthcare landscape. From a start-up to a fully-fledged treatment center with proven health programs, Dr. Chen pioneers neurological care for the present and the future. During our first 2 years, Dr. Chen has had more than a handful of landmark cases, some of which are in the process of being written up in medical and academic journals. However, our current patients say it best when it comes to our program. We look forward to welcoming you and your family here at our facility.
